Any Divine Appointments Today?

July 27, 2018

Today's guest post comes from Uwe Bower, a core member of the STSA Church family and a dear friend of mine as well.  In today's post, Uwe inspires us to think beyond what our eyes might see and our ears might here.  God might be calling you into action in ways you might not notice if you don't pay attention.  And you don't want to miss out on that!

Healthy Relationships - SPEAKING OF HEALTH, Part 4

June 25, 2018

It's the finale in our series, SPEAKING OF HEALTH, and as always, we like to end with a bang!  We not only talked about our need for authentic and vulnerable relationships, but we had a live example of what that authenticity and vulnerability looks like.

Be sure not to miss the special cameo appearance from a special guest at the end of this week's message.

And stay healthy everyone!

CARRYING OUT KINDNESS - The KIND that Breaks, Part 4

May 7, 2018

It's Part 4 in The KIND that Breaks and this week we're moving from THOUGHTS (nixing negativity) and WORDS (practicing praise) to ACTION!  But what we discovered is that it isn't always the big actions that communicate love; often it's the small ones.

So as we set out to Carry Out Kindness this week, remember to think SMALL, not big.

Love Does

May 13, 2016

After His resurrection, Christ asks Peter three times, “Do you love me?” And every time he answers "yes," Christ says:

“feed my lambs”

“tend my sheep”

“feed my sheep”

Because love is more than words.

Love does.

Often we assume that love is implied. We assume other people are secure in their own worthiness and we assume that they know our love for them. So at times when we admonish another, we are left feeling confused as to why they would lash out and walk away.

Finding Community - #reFriending PART 3

February 10, 2014

Community.  One of the most over-used and least-realized words in churches today.  We all want it.  We all talk about it.  We all think we know what it means.

SO HOW COME WE CAN'T FIND IT?

Check out Part 3 in the #reFriending series and see for yourself.  Maybe the reason we can't find it is because we don't know what we're looking for.
