The Power of MOMENTUM

Two days away from Momentum 2017: WE ARE and I am PUMPED UP! But in order to make sure that I'm not just excited for this year's conference but also that I'm PREPARED, I am offline this entire week. So no blog post and no Periscope today.

But to help get you (and me) in the mood for the conference, I am reposting what I wrote after the first Momentum back in 2013. And boy did that do the trick! God was glorified back then and I got a good feeling that He will be glorified again... AND I CAN'T WAIT!!!

The Power of Knowing Your Weakness

It seems to me that we all have a natural desire to discover what makes us unique. To discover the strengths God uniquely knit into our DNA fabric…and, most importantly, how to use them … hopefully, for God’s glory. A few months back, I attended a conference done by The Hope Association entitled: “MOMENTUM” with the goal to do just that. Since the conference, people have been talking about how they’ve been inspired by the God-given spiritual talents and gifts revealed to them at this conference.

My story is different. God has always given me a strong awareness of my strengths. In fact, for years now, I have been trying to use them for God’s glory, but failing at it…miserably failing at it!

What am I excited about in 2013? In a word…MOMENTUM. Why? Because momentum is unstoppable!

s we kick off 2013 and everyone hurries to set goals and make resolutions, I want to share what God has been speaking to me about for the coming year. My vision and my goals for 2013 can best be summarized by 5 words which were tweeted during the first minutes of 2013 by one of my newfound heroes in life – Robert Griffin III (aka RG3): “Happy New Year!!! You ain't seen nothing yet!!!”

I love that! That’s perfect. That is exactly what God has been revealing to me for the past several days (minus the improper grammar of course) about what this coming year has in store:

“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us” Ephesians 3:20
