Dear loyal blog followers, As you’ve probably noticed, I recently started using a new tool called Periscope and I am having a TON OF FUN with it! If you haven’t tried it, you can get a feel for how it works by checking out the two demo scopes I've done thus far.
The beauty of Periscope is that it is a) super easy to use (just download the app and you’re pretty much good to go), and b) it allows for LIVE INTERACTION between the speaker and the audience. You can ask questions or make comments and I can respond on the spot, in real time. Trust me, it’s VERY COOL!
So moving forward, my plan is to do a live 30 minute scope every WEDNESDAY at 12:30 pm EST. I’ll still be writing a blog post in the morning, but then the scope will be a chance to expand on the subject and answer questions about it.
But here’s where I need your help. I NEED YOUR HELP WITH THE CONTENT.
What subjects are you interested in hearing me talk about? What aspects of my life would you like to learn more about? What subject have you always wished you could ask me about?
This is your chance. I’m open to pretty much anything. No suggestion is a bad one. This is your chance to help plan the content of my blog.
Below are some of the suggestions I’ve received so far:
- How I organize my time and set my weekly schedule
- My approach to a quality morning quiet time
- My strategy for memorizing Bible verses
- Tips for being the spiritual leader of your family
- Behind the scenes on the Messeh family devotional time
- How I prepare talks/sermons
- Q&A about ___________ (fill in any subject)
What I love most about Periscope is the “behind the scenes” aspect that it allows for - it honestly feels like we’re in the same room - and that is the direction I would to go in with this new tool.
We don’t need more lessons or sermons or lectures; we have more information than we know what to do with already. What we need is to see how that information is applied in real life… by real people… who live in the same real world that we live in.
