I’m trying something new and I’m starting tonight. Yesterday I picked up this book, A Lifelong Love: How to Have Lasting Intimacy, Friendship, and Purpose in Your Marriage and I couldn’t put it down. Best book I’ve read about marriage in a long time. And I think the message is exactly what so many married couples need to hear today!
So I’ve decided to share what I’m learning by starting an online book club on Periscope – beginning TONIGHT! And the best news is that I won’t be alone on the scope…MARIANNE WILL BE ON WITH ME AS WELL!
Every Tuesday and Thursday evening for the next few weeks (excluding Thanksgiving of course), we’ll share what we’re learning from this book and how we are applying it to our own marriage and family life.
Why are we doing this? Three reasons:
Reason #1: Three weeks ago, Marianne and I did a joint Periscope session about our family night-time routine and it went so well that several people said they wanted more Marianne (no offense taken).
Reason #2: I want to invest in my marriage and this will encourage/force me to do so (I work best under pressure).
Reason #3: I want to invest in YOUR marriage because I believe the world is a better and safer place when families are strong and marriages are godly. So this is my way of doing something about it.
