For those of you who have been waiting for the video of this past Sunday’s message – Part 2 of INTO THE WAR ROOM – I’m sorry to let you know that unfortunately, it didn’t record. Sunday was just one of those days where anything that can go wrong did go wrong and the end result – I’m sorry to say – was that the message didn’t record at all.
That’s the bad news…
But fear not! There’s good news too!
Our God is bigger than any technical difficulty and He never gets painted in a corner. When He has a message to share, He finds a way to do so – especially when the message is as powerful and needed as this one was.
You see, in my mind, there’s no doubt that the enemy of God (aka, the devil) is not happy with this series. NOT AT ALL! Because this series is about prayer; and he knows that prayer is the most powerful weapon that we have in our battle against him. He’s powerless against it.
Prayer unleashes the power of God into our lives and into this world and there’s no way the devil will just sit back idly and watch that power unleashed.
But that’s ok. We will not be afraid nor will we will be dismayed. Our God is greater than anything the devil can throw at us – including funny recording equipment that seems to have a mind of its own sometimes!
So here’s what we’re going to do. Instead of just listening to me on the video as you usually do (passive, one-way communication), you’re going to get a chance to be part of the message this week…LIVE AND IN PERSON!
Sort of…let me explain…
There’s a new app called PERISCOPE (it might not be new to you young hipsters and millennials out there, but to the grandmas and grandpas out there like myself, it’s new. So cut us some slack please :) )
Periscope is a video streaming app that allows you to broadcast live video directly from your phone. Think of it like a video conference call but instead of communicating to just one person, you can communicate to the whole world. I want to use this app to give you a front row seat at a recap of this past Sunday’s message and also give you a chance to ask questions and interact with me during the “scope” (“scope” is to Periscope as “tweet” is to Twitter).
Here’s how it will work. First, I’ll write up a blog post briefly summarizing the message and the main points. I will post that here on my blog on Wednesday morning.
Then I’ll do a Periscope broadcast LIVE at 12:30 pm EST.
The broadcast will go for 30 minutes. I’ll start by summarizing the message and going through the main points from about 12:30-12:50 and then I’ll open it up for questions during the last 10 minutes.
YOU need to make sure that you DOWNLOAD FREE THE PERISCOPE APP and then search for my name, FrAnthony, to follow me. You can choose to be notified when my show goes live if you’d like and that’s it.
The scope will start on Wednesday at 12:30 pm EST and you can join in the discussion with your questions or comments and we’ll see how it goes from there.If you can’t be there live, every broadcast is available for replay for 24 hours afterwards and I’ll also be posting the recording here on my blog afterwards as well.
Ok ladies and gentlemen? Once again, I apologize that we weren’t able to get that recording from Sunday, but at the same time I am confident that God will use this – as He uses all things – ultimately for His glory.
